Originally located on the site of an old Celtic settlement the castle was built in the 15th century. The existing Manor House conserved the two great towers of the original castle which was turned into a Manor House in the 17th century. The present owner has completed detailed and careful restoration works recently. The two wings of the building form an 'L' shape constructed of granite blocks around a quadrangular courtyard. The main facade is framed by the two towers and between these, above the main entrance is a carved stone coat of arms. On the lateral façades there are three other (and older) coats of arms.

The Manor House by itself measures 1,242 m² and comprises eight tastefully furnished bedrooms in traditional style, four fully fitted bathrooms and a toilet, a traditional dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy living room with chimney. The ground floor comprises a large games room, a laundry room, a machine room with the central heating installation and irrigation system installations and a tool room / workshop. Finally the basement comprises a bodega wine cellar and two charming medieval rooms with BBQ and dining room. Between the main entrance to the property and the Castle Manor House there is a second building, which is the garage measuring 54 m². The third building is the hen house measuring 21 m², which includes a storage room. The property nestles in beautiful landscaped gardens measuring 4,480 m² with magnificent views overlooking the inlet / Ría de Camariñas. The pretty coastal town of Camariñas is located at 8 km distance and is well known as the lace making centre of Galicia. Approximately 13 km from the property you can visit another pretty coastal town, Muxia, with important monuments and “magical” stones.
