CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE Current exchange rates have recently been fluctuating and in recent months the pound has fallen against the euro by about 15%. MORTGAGES Euro mortgage rates are currently comparing favourably with those in the UK, but be sure to make the correct decision when mortgaging a property abroad. The lending criteria in Spain has historically been different to that in the UK and now that the UK mortgage crisis is upon us it may be time to consider that euro mortgage as an alternative option.
